Back to Life, Back to Reality

I guess this is a sneak peek at what I have to look forward to post-Steubenville:

"They are both going to do good and they are both going to do bad. One must weigh which candidate they feel will do less bad. There is no right or wrong choice. There is no objective truth."

(Extracted from an actual email conversation between two twenty-something males discussing the American political landscape.)

Is it too late to change my mind about leaving the bubble? (Also worth noting, the shameless use of the verb "feel" in place of the ill-begotten verb "think.")

I "think" I belong on another planet...or on this one, but 50 years ago.

  1. I "think" I belong on another planet...or on this one, but 50 years ago.

Oh no, my dear that would be the the evil one discouraging you with such a thought. Take a deep breath, gather yourself for the long, long, long haul. And always walk it with joy yoked with the Lord.

You are here and now, not by accident but to know love and serve the Lord this and every day.

P.S. I was there 50 years ago and believe me we had issues then too.

  2. I am sure that tausign is right, but I've gotta admit a similar temptation about longing for a timemachine.
If for nothing else then the chance to wear a fidora.

Karen just told me about your new job--congratulations!
We'll have to talk when you get out here. I want to know more about getting some campus missionaries to NNY.
See you in a couple weeks.
